The fantastic new soft play Banana Bus has all the four-wheeled fun you could ever want. It’s a spacious converted double decker bus complete with a ball pool, slides, sound system, disco lights and loads more besides.
But it wasn’t always this way…
Made in 2007, the bus started life in a normal way ferrying passengers between Kensal Green and Vauxhall in South London. Its actual number was the 452, and every day it would pass landmarks like The Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace. But with all those miles (and bottoms on seats!) after a while the bus started to get tired – but it wasn’t ready to give up yet!
Fast forward to January 2019 and its new owner, Ben Feld, had grand plans for its new lease of life as a play bus. Work began on taking out all the seats and fixtures and putting in cool new slides, a ball pool, lights, air conditioning, a sound system, and load of other amazing fun stuff. Finally after many months of planning, hard work and a big dollop of love, the shiny new Banana Bus hit the road in June 2019.
Safety and Security
The bus is converted to comply with the European play equipment standards EN1176 and adheres to all the latest safety and mechanical standards. The soft play area is covered with fire resistant foam and there is a fire extinguisher and first aid kit on board. It is fully electrically tested and certified. It is also inspected and certificated by the RPII (Register of play inspectors)
Our Staff
All our staff are fully trained and CRB/DBS checked.
Our company is also a member of the association of mobile projects.
Our Environment
We care about the world around us and work hard to do our bit for the environment. We always keep our emissions to a minimum, and our engine has been upgraded to a clean Euro six with AdBlue for that bit extra.
